Advance Program Funded Grants: Faculty
All Advance Program grants support undergraduate students and those who are assisting undergraduate students as they acquire, articulate, demonstrate, exhibit, and disseminate their research projects. Grants funded by the Advance Program are annual and funds must be spent within the academic year of the award. Due dates and requests for proposals (RFP) are posted to the Advance webpage and social media each year.
Advance Equipment Grants
One $10,000 grant per college (including Library) per year.
Funding was budgeted to provide Colleges/Departments with specialized equipment and supplies to help implement Advance Student Research Experience (ASREs) programing. These funds should not pay for equipment or supplies that could be funded through other resources, like STEP grants, lab fees, or Educational Development grants. The Dean from each college selects the recipients for these grants.
Faculty Undergraduate Research Support Grants
$5,000 grants
Funding was budgeted to provide incentives to faculty who design and implement student research experiences (SREs), inside and outside the classroom. Acceptable funding topics are very flexible, but are focused on optimizing the number of students impacted. Priority is given to proposals that stimulate the design or redesign of courses with embedded student research experiences (CUREs) included. Faculty seeking stipends for themselves are less likely to be awarded funds.
