1) NSF-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program in Food, Energy, and Water Security at Mississippi State University (May 26 – July 31, 2026). The 10-week program offers a $7,000 stipend, housing and meals, and travel support, with research opportunities in renewable energy, biochar, and water purification. 2) USDA-funded REEU program, AI-enabled Industrial Solutions for Forest Products (AI2F), hosted at Mississippi State University. This 10 week program offers an exceptional opportunity for undergraduate students to participate in hands-on research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, sustainable forest-product industries, and real-world problem solving. Selected participants will receive a $6,000 support package, which includes a stipend, housing, transportation, and meal allowances.  Weekly professional development seminars include research presentations, field visits, technical writing support, communication workshops, and guidance for graduate school preparation.  Application Deadline: February 1, 2026.
