Congratulations to Undergraduate Student, Brenley A. Murry, a sophomore in the Department of Biology, who has been selected to present at the 2026 Yale Undergraduate Research Conference.

Brenley's research area is Fast Fashion Cosmetics and their effect on an increased rate of Dry Eye disease in the 18-25 demographic. She will present her project titled, The Hidden Ocular Hazards of Low-Cost Fast Fashion Cosmetics: Investigating Microbial and Biochemical Links to Dry Eye Disease Risk. This project was originally done in BIOL 417 as an internship with Lafayette Eye Specialists with Dr. Foreman, MD, and Dr. Barry OD. Dr. Kelly Robinson (Main Mentor for BIOL 417), Professor Penny Powell (Aided in lab supplies and time).  It is currently moving under the Bachelor's thesis. Will have chair and council by the end of Fall 2025. Brenely is also a student in the ASRE Pathways program and the Honors Program.
